In April 2025, Séverine Nolf and Maxime Lahy left their analyst jobs at McKinsey with a bold conviction: AI was about to reshape financial consulting, and they wanted to lead the charge.
Their idea? Pleasefix.ai is a tool that automates the repetitive, time-consuming tasks that eat up analysts' days: building Excel models, generating PowerPoint decks from financial data, and running endless manual workflows.
As Séverine puts it, "A financial analyst spends 80% of their time on tasks AI can accelerate dramatically. We help them work faster and with fewer errors."
The duo moved fast. After joining the Start it @KBC program and spending three months at Station F in Paris, they were selected by Entrepreneurs First and headed to San Francisco to get closer to the US market, their primary target. Within months, they had signed their first clients: mid-sized investment funds and a major bank, growing quickly from a free offering to a paid model. With ambitions to land the biggest names in finance.
In late 2025, Pleasefix.ai closed a $2.1 million funding round led by Pitchdrive, with backing from Syndicate One, 100N, Entrepreneurs First, Transpose Platform, and several business angels.
And for their European base? They chose WAT.
"Belgium has all the talent we need," says Séverine. The team is now building out its developer hub right here in Brussels, while keeping its strategic focus on the US.
Their motto says it all: "We want to go fast. That's how you stay motivated and attract the best talent."
